Your Growth, Our Mission: The Future of G2K

G2K stands at a crossroads.

For over twenty five years, we have been the most energetic youth organisation in Jamaican politics. We have produced the speakers, the debaters, and the community leaders who have gone on to reshape their constituencies and lead at the highest levels of government.

That legacy is real, and having served this organisation for nearly a decade at both the chapter and management levels, I am proud of every part of it. However, we must be honest with ourselves: legacy alone does not win the next decade. What wins the next decade is structure, operational excellence, and a return to our founding mission as the intellectual engine of the Jamaica Labour Party.

What I am offering the delegates of G2K is not a rebrand or a set of new slogans. It is a rebuild based on operational substance and verifiable impact. My candidacy is rooted in the belief that the G2K Presidency is an operational post, not a symbolic one. I intend to lead accordingly, ensuring that we are tested, proven, and ready to deliver from day one.

My vision is built on three pillars: Chapter and Member Development, National Policy and Thought Leadership, and Sustainable Financing. These pillars were not chosen at random. They represent the gaps I have seen up close during my time as Vice President and as a Ministerial Advisor.

Chapter and Member Development

Under the first pillar, we will ensure that your membership works for you. If you dedicate your time to this organisation, it must return value to your career and professional growth.

We will professionalise how members are trained by establishing a specific curriculum within my first six months. This will include specialised modules like Economics 101 and Sector Fundamentals, delivered by certified instructors. We will transform chapter meetings into high level networking hubs where members engage directly with Cabinet Ministers and industry experts. We will also introduce a formal "Adopt-a-Constituency" programme, starting with initiatives like the Government’s Releaf project, to ensure our members are delivering measurable value in battleground areas.

National Policy and Thought Leadership

Our second pillar focuses on G2K as a bridge to governance. We are more than a defending force; we are a resource for every Jamaican. We will establish a rapid response fact check unit to provide our members with verified data points, moving beyond party lines to deep, factual knowledge. We will also launch an annual "Budget Break-Down" campaign to translate complex fiscal topics like the Net International Reserve into language that the average citizen can use. Our goal is to win the marketplace of ideas by being the most informed voices in the room.

Sustainable Financing

The third pillar is all about Financial independence. A G2K administration should never have to wait on an external call to fund its ambitions. We will re-establish a professional Fundraising and Finance Committee and create a "Corporate Circle" to move from one-off requests to structured, long term partnerships with the private sector. Furthermore, we will establish a dedicated Grant Writing Unit to tap into international funding for youth advocacy and environmental projects, leveraging the global networks I have spent years rebuilding.

My commitment to this organisation is backed by a track record of delivery. Whether it was securing hundreds of hygiene kits and tarps for families after Hurricane Beryl or delivering national forums like "Beyond Bureaucracy" in 2026, I have consistently turned ideas into action. I have also seen first hand the power of effective leadership while supporting some of the most formidable women in our party, including Senator the Honourable Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister Fayval Williams, and MP Krystal Lee. As President, I will ensure that this tradition of mentorship continues through focused training and an annual women’s conference for our members.

I am asking for your confidence, not just because of what I have done, but because of the machinery we will build together. We are building a modern political organisation that is efficient, self-sufficient, and intellectually dominant. I am ready to lead on day one to ensure that G2K remains the place where the future of Jamaica happens.
