Through the wisdom and courage of our minds, and the strength and vigour of our bodies, we, the Members of G2K place ourselves in service of our fellow citizens. My mission is to build a G2K that propels our collective ambitions while we play our part in building Jamaica.

Your membership to our Organisation should uplift you as much as you uplift it. G2K must return tangible value to its members. If you dedicate your time, it must return value to your career. My plan is built on a single promise:

Elevate Your Network

We will transform Chapter meetings into high-level networking hubs with regular, moderated engagements with Ministers and industry experts.

Tactical Strategy

  • 1Define Engagement Calendar: Establish a quarterly schedule for high-level meetings, securing commitments from Cabinet Ministers and industry experts on a quarterly basis.
  • 2Implement a Moderated Q&A Format: Structure all networking sessions with a formal, moderated Q&A segment to ensure professional discourse and maximum member participation.
  • 3Mandate Pre-Event Briefing: Provide Chapter leaders and participating members with a pre-event briefing package on the guest's expertise and portfolio to facilitate high-quality interaction.
  • 4Member Satisfaction and Feedback: Members are consulted and provide constructive suggestions and feedback.
  • 5Professional Outcomes: Cultivating networks to provide direct professional opportunities including mentorships and job interviews.
  • 6Accelerate Your Development: G2K will consult and develop a curriculum within the first six months to offer specialised training including ECON 101 and Sector Fundamentals.
  • 7Certified Instructors: Partner with professional education institutions and government agencies to secure experts for all training modules.

Be a Formidable Political Force

Through effective Chapters, Members will have an effective political education and learn strategies that deliver value to your communities and constituencies.

Tactical Strategy

  • 1Chapter Effectiveness Audit: Conduct a bi-annual review of all Chapters based on activity, membership retention, and community project impact.
  • 2"Adopt-a-Constituency" Program: Formalize a program requiring each Chapter to partner with a marginal constituency to execute a targeted, measurable community value project (e.g., sports league, literacy drive, clean-up campaign). The Government's Releaf project having been identified as a potential pilot for this program.
  • 3Grassroots Strategy Training: Host dedicated workshops on modern political strategy, voter mobilization, and effective constituency-level communication for all Chapter members.
  • 4Leveraging Sports and Culture: Facilitating community engagement and outreach through sports and culture, which are in our DNA, to serve communities and encourage recruitment and spread our message.

Recruitment and Member Support

G2K will benefit from a broader Membership base drawing on more professions and skills in both traditional and emerging areas and sectors.

Tactical Strategy

  • 1Skills Training and Vocational Institutions: Engage skills training and vocational institutions in addition to re-energising recruits in traditional ones.
  • 2New International Chapters: Build out new Chapters in Miami, Canada and the UK.
  • 3G2K Member Support Fund: Practical support with groceries, education, health and other needs.

National Policy and Thought Leadership

G2K is a resource to the Party, but it is an even greater resource to every Jamaican. We have a vital role to play as the bridge connecting the inner workings of government to the people on the ground and the nation-building power of the private sector. G2K must win the battle for the minds of all Jamaicans. Our members must be even more empowered to participate in the marketplace of ideas.

We do more than defend the Party; we elevate the conversation and edify our fellow citizens.

The Bridge to Governance

Empowering members to speak on current events with deep, factual knowledge rather than just a party line.

Tactical Strategy

  • 1Current Affairs Update Series: Establish an internal communication series, via memo or webinar, focusing on current events and governance.
  • 2Media Training: Host mandatory "Media Training & Communications" for all Chapter Executive members.
  • 3Rapid-Response Fact-Check: Develop a rapid-response fact-check unit within the G2K Communications portfolio to provide members with verified data points on national issues.

Economic Literacy

Absorbing, breaking down and translating national economic discussions particularly around the Budget.

Tactical Strategy

  • 1"Budget Break-Down" Campaign: Launch an annual public campaign, consisting of a series of infographics and town halls immediately following the National Budget presentation.
  • 2"Fiscal Policy & You" Module: Integrate a mandatory module into the G2K training curriculum, focusing on complex fiscal topics like the Net International Reserve (NIR) and debt-to-GDP ratio.

Future-Proofing Jamaica

Leading the conversations on Jamaica's most pressing challenges including resilience, renewables, the blue economy, and the creative industries.

Tactical Strategy

  • 1Annual Public Symposia: Host at least two national forums per year, featuring local and international experts to elevate the conversation.
  • 2International Collaboration: Securing partnerships with international organizations focused on climate resilience and other critical areas.

Sustainable Financing

To achieve our mission, G2K needs a financial plan, not just ad hoc fundraising. My plan, FUNDING OUR FUTURE, focuses on building our organisation so that it is financially sustainable and professionally managed.

Fundraising and Finance Committee

We will re-establish the Fundraising and Finance Committee to move beyond survival-mode, ad hoc fundraising and toward institutional stability.

Tactical Strategy

  • 1Professional Oversight: The Committee will be chaired by a professional with corporate finance or fundraising experience, ensuring that every effort is strategic and results-oriented.
  • 2Corporate Partnerships: We will move from one-off "asks" to structured donor circles. By establishing a 'Corporate Circle', we will facilitate continuous, predictable donations from the private sector through long-term relationship management.
  • 3Calendar of Sustainability: We will establish a fixed annual calendar of flagship fundraising events. This provides the organisation with a predictable cash flow and reduces the reliance on emergency appeals.

Establishing Private Sector Value

G2K must be seen as more than a political arm: it must be a valuable partner to the private sector. By proving our utility to Jamaica's key players, we ensure that G2K remains a crucial asset to the JLP.

Tactical Strategy

  • 1The Policy Intelligence Bridge: We will establish a Private Sector Liaison office. Through this office, we will host 'Business Policy Roundtables' where industry leaders and young professionals collaborate to identify the real-world impact of current and proposed legislation. G2K will then serve as the vital intelligence link, providing the Party with direct, high-level feedback from the ground to help shape more effective national policy.
  • 2Value Proposition: We will market G2K as the premier pipeline for high-calibre young talent. By building relationships with CEOs and industry leaders, we position our members for leadership roles while proving to the private sector that G2K is the home of the professionals who will drive Jamaica's future economy.
  • 3Mutual Growth: Funding is not a gift; it is an investment. We will show donors how their support of G2K initiatives contributes to a more stable, business-friendly environment by ensuring the next generation of leadership is technically competent and politically engaged.

Expanding International Funding and Grants

As the current VP of International Relations, I recognise that our financial potential extends beyond Jamaica's borders. We will tap into global networks to fund our national projects.

Tactical Strategy

  • 1Grant Writing Unit: We will establish a specialised unit dedicated to identifying and applying for international grants from non-partisan NGOs, environmental funds, and democratic foundations. These funds will specifically support projects like our youth advocacy programmes.
  • 2Global Political Partnerships: We will strengthen ties with international sister-party organisations and youth wings across the Caribbean and the globe. Through these partnerships, we can access shared resources, exchange programmes, and institutional funding that is currently untapped.

Fellow delegates, I step forward to offer you a renewed G2K defined by opportunities, an elevated profile and valuable impact. The Office of President is not a token milestone, but an operational post, requiring decisiveness, clarity, performance and fixity of purpose.

Our membership deserves a return on investment. I am ready to lead on Day One to ensure this is where the future happens.
